Gappa Lab is an architectural and design studio based in Makassar, Indonesia, established in 2019. Founded by Victor Jonathan and Yulianti Tanyadji, the practice explores architecture, spatial design, and urban environments through thoughtful, context-responsive solutions. Our work is grounded in the belief that architecture is more than the creation of buildings—it is a process of shaping meaningful relationships between people, place, and culture. Every project begins with understanding its context, allowing each design to respond naturally to its environment and the communities it serves. Beyond architectural practice, Gappa Lab extends its vision through educational workshops and Ku Gappai, a creative initiative exploring craftsmanship, materiality, and making. Together, these activities foster knowledge exchange, experimentation, and collaboration, reflecting our commitment to design as an evolving practice that continues beyond the completion of a project.
